The small asian girl was walking slowly across the beach, marvelling at the sheer beauty of the setting sun reflected on the water. The bright pink sky made a beautiful contrast to the clear blue water, and it was almost breathtaking to see the ocean stretched out before her, seemingly endless.
What a gorgeous place to live.
Seeing as it was later at night than most beach-goers went, the place was nearly deserted. It was a shame that she'd missed the rush to go work, but in a way she didn't really mind. It was nice this way, just her and the ocean. Although a friend wouldn't be bad.
Stifling a sigh, she turned back to the water. She'd been here over a month, found a job, but there just didn't seem to be any teenage girls around. None she'd want to be friends with, anyways.
A shadow appeared under the water and she peered at it with interest. A shark? Dolphin? Fish?
Only time would tell.
